The Information Technology Specialist will engage in all phases of IT-related programs and projects as assigned including: objective setting, project definition and planning, business case definitions, project initiation, project execution, implementation, and follow-up.
The IT Specialist analyzes, plans, designs, and installs new computer systems and reviews, monitors and upgrades existing computer systems and other business. Determines user specifications for hardware and software; builds software to meet user needs. Installs new, and maintains existing hardware and software. Assist with the transfer of data.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
• Bachelor of Science in an IT or computer related field & 3 years + Experience in Managed Care setting.
• Project Management experience leading and delivering medium to large complex projects in a corporate environment
• Management of external IT providers
• Server & PC Management (Installation, Maintenance & Troubleshooting)
• Ability to Develop IT Policies & Procedures
• 3 years + demonstrated hands-on experience in Information Systems areas in managed care environment
• Experience in PC software installation and integration
• Experience and ability to optimize PC performance
• Strong Data Management & Reporting experience in an AS400 environment. EZCAP experience a plus.
• A+ Certified and/or equivalent
• MCSE Certified
