Lovie is a gorgeous young female Golden Doodle who wound up being turned into a shelter along with her five baby Collie Doodle puppies. Lovie was so scared of being abandoned by the people that she trusted that she was deemed unadoptable by the shelter because of her shyness and was minutes away from being put to sleep along with her equally scared puppies at the time we took them out. The puppies we so ill that they were emaciated. Though we have only had them a few days, they are well on the road to recovery and are all eating and doing great. They are learning to love and trust and wag their tails and play like the puppies they are as opposed to feeling like the abandoned animals they were turned into when their heartless owner abandoned them after irresponsibly allowing their puppy, Lovie, to get pregnant in the first place. The wonderful shelter we work with tries very hard to save every life, but with the numbers of dogs being abandoned daily, it is tough. Lovie now wags her tail and knows well that we have saved her and is very grateful, too! She is young and adorable, and now she is in great health and her puppies will soon be all better and they will soon all be ready to find the best homes on earth. This is just another example of why we need to regulate breeders and STOP the designer dog craze that is causing even more breeding as in the case of "Goldendoodles" like Lovie and her puppies here. Lovie , her "Collie Doodle" puppies and the other Golden Doodles, Labradoodles and Doodle combinations we currently have all came from shelters on their very last day and would have died for sure if we had not taken them, yet designer dog breeders are still over breeding and selling them for thousands of dollars. These breeders could care less about the fact that there are already too many dogs that cannot find homes and are dying in shelters every day. People reading this, please don't buy a designer dog from a breeder. We've had calls from ten shelters recently with more Labradoodles and Golden Doodles, and odd combinations like "Collie Doodles" - all of which would have died had we not taken them and the puppies are still very sick and receiving treatment and you can find these Designer Doodles and other Designer Dogs all over great websites like Petfinder for adoption . PLEASE, if you want a Golden Doodle, Labradoodle or so called "Designer Dog," get them from a rescue, a shelter or seek them out on websites like Petfinder. Do NOT support the Designer Dog breeders that do this for profit and that only assure our shelters will remain full, that dogs will die everyday, and that rescues like us who don't believe in breeding will continue to have the unfathomable job of trying to empty the ocean with a teaspoon as we clean up the messes that these breeders are continuing to make with their over breeding! We will make sure that Lovie and her puppies find the best homes on earth where they will be loved and adored and appreciated and where they will be happy and safe for life! The fact that such an amazing wonderful dog like Lovie and her baby puppies could ever have been discarded and left to die in a shelter shows why all of us should support all the new laws regulating breeding. Obviously, there are far too many dogs being pumped out by some greedy breeders when as wonderful a dog as Lovie and her puppies could wind up dead in a shelter had we not taken her out on her last day along with these precious baby 'Collie Doodle" puppies! - just as that happens every day for the millions of other wonderful beloved dogs of all breeds and mixes. Every life is precious and should be valued and protected. Until the news laws are fully enacted and the greedy breeders stopped, this sad situation will continue where precious lives are at risk and unless we rescuers come to their aid, they are and will continue to be lost every day!
