Beautiful gold 1998 Lincoln Town Car for sale. It has only had 2 owners - my aunt and my mother. This is the top of the line Signature Series Luxury Sedan, 8-cylinder. Everything about it screams luxury. It has 119,000 miles on it.
My mother purchased it from my aunt in 2000. In February of 2007, it started having trouble in the heater core. We continued to take it into our family mechanic, and he continued to provide a temporary solution, but told us that it would have to be replaced. In November of 2007, a gasket blew and we knew that both would have to be repaired.
Instead, my mom purchased a newer car and we kept this one because my brother-in-law, a mechanic, kept telling us he wanted to buy it. Circumstances for him have changed and we are now putting it up for sale to the public.
According to our family mechanic, a good man who has taken care of all of our cars at his business of over 20 years, he says the car needs the following:
1. Replace the Long Block
2. Replace the Heater Core
3. Replace Battery (dead)
Parts come to around $2000 and labor is around $2000, so figure on spending from 4k to 5k on repairs.
The exterior is gorgeous and the interior is leather and in great shape - clean, no tears. (I'll email photos if needed).
Power windows, power locks, radio, cassette player, air conditioner, power seats, HUGE and deep trunk, digital odometer - lots of goodies. .
Asking $2,500. A beautiful and luxurious Lincoln Towncar for under $8k, once it's repaired. Car has been kept covered and has been started off and on and moved around for these past months. The battery died last month and have not replaced it. Registered with state as a non-op; you will need to update tags.
