We purchased this set of oak folding chairs at the Brimfield Antique Show in
Massachussettes a few years back. We were told they were originally from Maine and were used in some government building or community center (there are small names stenciled on the back of a few of the chairs). Despite their age
(estimated to be 50+ years old), they are in great shape and are pretty sturdy, although I would not want to take a chance having heavy adults use them.
They have been great for extra seating, and easily store away. Would be cute in a children's store, church, classroom, or vintage store for resale.
One chair is missing 2 wood slats on the seat (I am looking for them).
